I live in Ash Vale and have done since 1992 and with this site aim to provide local information useful to the residents and visitors, enjoy.

Ash Vale is a small village within Guildford borough in Surrey, England. Although our nearest postal town is Aldershot in Hampshire which does cause confusion sometimes.
The village probably had a semi millitary background in the past with its closeness to Aldershot and Farnborough but now with its easy access to the M3 and A3 for road traffic and three rail stations providing easy access up to London or across from Gatwick to Reading, the community is possibly more commuter related now.
